Amen. I was about to say the same, tho i;d say more like 9 of 10. Not a big fan of "bikers" either so i have zero interest in stergis.

I must give my older sister alot of credit.
Her and her ole man rode from Delaware to Sturgis by the southern route and come back by the northern. Three times! That's alot of riding, not sure but over 2000 miles. She takes to the road. She says it really nice but getting to commercial.

Sounds like a cool Sis!

I wonder if she experienced Deadwood...less commercial from what I gather.

Yes AZ, she is a biker with a sense of adventure.
She only about 5'-2" but rides a heritage Softail.
She must have made that trip 4-5 times from Delaware. Her ole man has one of those " trunks" on wheels for all there belongings. No such thing as trailering the bikes. Must be nice

This year, Sturgis is August 2-11. And a town near the hubbub (more to my liking) in the Black Hills. Link

2019 video...a journey of old towns, open road and Devil's Tower. Takeaways, don't run out of gas and if you're in Sturgis with a clean bike, you trailered it! Lol

When touring parts of the west/ mid west it's advisable to top off every 50 miles if possible. While that can be a hassle it beats walking.
Just because your GPS says, fuel ahead in 100 miles doesn't mean that station will be open, or even in business any longer.

Good point, I can relate to the anxiety of running empty.

Riding the Bonneville America to Sturgis, I estimated a 1/4 tank and decided to refuel. saw a station, didn't like the price and rode on to the next station (city mentality). ...Bad idea and now I'm somewhere out on the prairie. Next thing, the bike sputtered and I switched to reserve, coasting downhills w/engine off. Luckily I limped into another gas station...don't remember the price.

I recall fueling up in nowheresville Utah. America Indian owned market. Two pumps one regular and one hitest. Old school everything. One side of the pump was a few pennies higher, haha. Go inside and pay joint. The store was basically the local post office ran by mama squaw and poppa chief. Good times

in 07 I road my speedmaster out to Sturgis and had decided that it would be a good idea to take South Dakota state route 34 rather than ride all of the way on I 90. I left the interstate near Kadoka, SD. I figured that I would be cutting it close on gas but there should be at one gas station along the way,. There was, they just didn't have any gas! Luckily, the last place I had gassed up I had bought a large snapple to drink (glass bottle with a metal top) and just for good measure, i drank it down, wiped out the bottle and put some gas it and pushed it up under the bungee cargo net. It was only a quart of gas, but it kept me from pushing the bike and i made it to Sturgis on bottom of reserve.

I know that you really wanted to Sturgis. this year didn't work for you. But do at least sit on the bike and watch the live feed?
Imagine all of those people in one place and they were peaceful , most people that I meet on bikes are very decent people.

Dude, those images are from Pinterest, Flickr, some body art site... Sturgis live? Really? Triumph caption says Jan 1, 1902(?), hope they actually show up at Sturgis next weekend. If you go there, ask 'em what happened to the Streamliner.....
